FAQ's
1. How reliable and valid is the science behind these psychometric tests?
They achieve world class scores in these areas. Further technical information is available here and by request.
2. Why are they world class?
These tests have been developed specifically for the world of work; they are also based on much larger numbers of individuals (over 100,000 job applicants and incumbents) than many other tools. The tools are all re-evaluated frequently to further enhance their accuracy and relevance.
3. Do I need to know anything about psychometrics?
No, you do not. If you do then you will appreciate the strength of these tools. However they have been specifically designed to be used by non-experts. The reports are all written in normal management terms. This way you get first rate science in a user friendly format.
4. Is there expensive training involved?
No, there is no need to send staff on a one or two week course costing thousands of pounds. All training is provided to ensure that you can use and gain the benefits of the tools. We do not make our profits from selling training courses.
5. How much emphasis should I put on the results?
We recommend that about one third of the decision should be based on the assessment with another third based on the CV / background and the remainder based on interview performance or existing knowledge of the person.
6. I don't think psychometric tests work, can you convince me?
Some old school assessments were not as effective as modern ones and much of what we now know about the human brain has been discovered in the last 10 years. Recent tools are far more effective and, as part of a well planned process, can contribute enormously to better decisions about people.
